Iaru can’t respond to emergencies. If you are in danger or thinking about suicide, call your local emergency number (112 in the EU, 911 in the US), or call or text 988 in the US. More lines are on our safety page.
Common questions
How do I delete my account?
In the app, go to Profile → Privacy & Data → Delete account, type DELETE and confirm. If you can’t use the app, email us from the address on your account. Everything is explained on Delete your account.
How do I cancel a subscription?
Subscriptions bought in the iOS app are managed by Apple. Open Settings › your name › Subscriptions, choose Iaru and tap Cancel. Cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date to avoid the next charge. Deleting the app or your account does not cancel it.
How do I get a refund?
Apple handles App Store payments and refunds. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
I forgot my password.
On the sign-in screen, tap Forgot? and enter your email. We send a reset link that works for one hour. If it doesn’t arrive, check spam, then email us.
Is Iaru AI optional?
Yes. Iaru AI is off until you agree to it, and everything else in Iaru works without it. Turn it on or off any time in Profile → Privacy & Data.
How do I delete a conversation or what Iaru AI remembers?
Open the conversation list in Iaru AI to delete one conversation or all of them. In Profile → Privacy & Data you can review and clear AI memory, or turn chat history and memory off. Turning them off deletes what was saved.
How do I turn usage analytics on or off?
In Profile → Privacy & Data. Analytics are off unless you said yes, and they never include your mood, journal, chats or searches.
Can I change or stop reminders?
Yes, in Profile → Reminder Settings. Reminders are scheduled on your phone, and you can also turn off Iaru notifications in your phone’s settings.
Is Iaru a replacement for therapy?
No. Iaru is a general wellness app, not therapy, medical care, diagnosis or treatment, and not an emergency service. See our wellness disclaimer.
